“Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team” Dream Championship Finals To Be Held at Japan Football Museum

World’s Top Players Face Off in Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan – August 29, 2019 – KLab Inc., a leader in online mobile games, announced that its head-to-head football simulation game Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team will hold the Finals of its first-ever worldwide Dream Championship tournament on Saturday, September 14 at the Japan Football Museum in Tokyo.



The Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team Dream Championship 2019 tournament is a global competition to decide the top Captain Tsubasa player in the entire world. Four offline qualifiers selected one champion each, in addition to 12 champions selected from online competitions.

Now these 16 champions who aimed to be the strongest player in the world will finally gather in Tokyo to face off against one another and determine the true world champion. Anyone with the ability to travel to Tokyo is invited to come to the venue and watch it all go down in real time, and the Finals will also be livestreamed for those who can’t watch in person.


Dream Championship Finals Details

In addition to the Finals, other events exclusive to the venue are planned for attendees. Special campaigns, both in-game and promotional, tying in with the Finals will also take place.

How to Watch

Local fans in Tokyo are welcome to attend the Finals in person as spectators, and it will also be livestreamed via the URLs below.

To attend as a spectator, come to the Virtual Stadium entrance on the first floor of the Japan Football Museum by 11:00 am on Saturday, September 14. Entry is free and there are no entry requirements or pre-registration necessary. Upon entry, attendees will be given a wristband, which they can show upon re-entry to the venue and be able to come in and out freely. Upon reaching capacity, spectator registration will close.

Winner Prediction Campaign


Event Period: Monday, September 2 to Friday, September 13 (UTC+9)

Players are invited to predict the winner of the Finals, and those who correctly predict the champion will receive 150 free (not paid) Dreamballs. Players can vote from the Dream Championship 2019 official website starting on September 2 (UTC+9), and details will be announced there and inside the game.

Finals Cheering Challenge


Event Period: Monday, September 2 to Friday, September 13 (UTC+9)

A series of cheer tweets will be posted to the official Twitter account ( https://twitter.com/tsubasaDT_en ), one for each player who will participate in the Finals, and players are encouraged to retweet and write comments cheering each player on. If the total number of cheer messages to the global and Japanese accounts combined reaches 10,000, all players will receive 10 Dreamballs! Details on how to participate will be announced September 2 inside the game.

Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team Dream Championship 2019

The Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team Dream Championship 2019 tournament is a global competition to decide the top Captain Tsubasa player in the entire world. Offline qualifiers were held in four major cities worldwide (Dubai, Tokyo, Paris, and Hong Kong), and online qualifiers were held inside the game. A total of 16 finalists overall were chosen as the result of all the qualifiers combined and won trips to Tokyo to participate in the Dream Championship finals.


The 16 finalists will receive an in-game badge, and the winner will receive an in-game badge, as well as a Dream Championship trophy and an original illustration by Yoichi Takahashi, the creator of the Captain Tsubasa manga.
