AI Game Currently in Planning at KLab Selected for METI's "IP360" New IP Creation Support Project

KLab Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tetsuya Sanada; hereinafter "KLab") announces that an AI game currently being planned by the company has been selected for the "New IP Creation Support (New IP Planning Support)" under the Content Industry Growth Investment Support Project "IP360," organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

KLab has already incorporated AI into its game development process, dramatically shortening development cycles. Rather than simply using AI to streamline existing game development, this project aims to AI-enable the game experience itself. By making in-game characters AI-powered, KLab aims to create a new gaming experience centered around communication with these AI characters. Historically, the gaming industry has grown and created new gaming experiences with the arrival of new hardware and mobile devices. KLab is confident that advances in AI will bring about a whole new gaming experience to the industry.

Please note that this project is currently in the fundamental technology development and pre-production stages, and the release schedule remains undecided.

About "IP360"

IP360: Toward 20 Trillion Yen

"IP360" is a Content Industry Growth Investment Support Project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), aimed at expanding overseas sales of Japanese content to 20 trillion yen by 2033. To achieve this target, multiple support programs have been established to promote the creation, development, and global expansion of Japanese IP.

Among these, "New IP Creation Support (New IP Planning Support)" supports businesses with a track record in content production/development (across fields like gaming, anime, music, and live-action) in taking on new initiatives--such as early-stage content production/development or creating new businesses through intrapreneurship/corporate ventures--to continuously generate new IP.
