Background of the Collaboration

In recent years, global defense demand has risen rapidly due to the shift toward new forms of warfare centered on attack drones. Against this backdrop, the global drone defense market is projected to expand rapidly to a scale of 6 trillion yen (Source: Future Market Insights).

On the other hand, advanced defense technologies sometimes fail to be sufficiently deployed even in countries and regions with high market needs due to each country's export controls, security considerations, diplomatic relations, and the international situation.

Given this market environment, KLab will utilize its local subsidiary "KLab UAE," established in the UAE, to leverage its credibility as a Japanese company and its neutral position to promote the introduction of cutting-edge anti-drone technologies held by the Partner to the UAE.

About the Partner and its Products

The anti-drone defense system that we will promote the introduction of based on this MOU is an integrated protection system that uses radio jamming technology and other methods to detect, identify, and neutralize unauthorized flying drones.

Key features include:

  • Multi-layered protection functions such as detection, capture, and neutralization.
  • Threat identification and classification using AI.
  • Simultaneous response to multiple drones.
  • Drone control takeover and neutralization functions.
  • "Combat-proven" performance in actual battles.

This system is adopted by defense agencies, law enforcement agencies, government agencies, etc., and has a track record of implementation at critical facilities such as public facilities, power plants, airports, ports, and large-scale event venues.

Future Outlook

KLab will first promote the introduction of this anti-drone defense system in the UAE, and will also consider expansion to other regions in the future.
