KLab Achieves +328.6% ROI in Backtesting of AI Automatic Trading System

KLab Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tetsuya Sanada; hereinafter "KLab") announced on February 9, 2026, that it is developing an automatic trading system for financial products utilizing AI (hereinafter referred to as the "AI"). KLab has been continuously conducting backtesting of the AI and hereby announces that it recorded a Return on Investment (ROI) of +328.6% in its most recent test. This result is equivalent to approximately 3.4 times the growth rate of Bitcoin prices during the same period.

Backtesting Details

Backtesting generally refers to verifying "what the earnings results would have been if those trades had been executed in the past" using historical market data. For the AI, these simulations are repeated for the purposes of AI learning and evaluation, and the ROI is improving daily. The ROI of +328.6% announced this time is the figure recorded in the most recent backtest under the following conditions.

• 　Target asset: Bitcoin
• 　Initial investment: 100,000 USD
• 　Verification period: 3 years from January 2022 to December 2024
• 　Trading method: both buy and sell (long / short)
• 　Leverage: 1x
• 　Number of trades: a total of 48 trades over 3 years
• 　Fees: assumed and deducted a fee of 0.04% per trade

【Results】

The AI achieved a return rate approximately 3.4 times higher than the Bitcoin price, and the maximum drawdown was approximately 1/4.

Future Developments

KLab was founded as a research and development company for mobile software and subsequently grew primarily through its mobile game business. Starting from fiscal year 2025, the company has designated AI as one of its priority businesses and is proceeding with the research, development, and business consideration of numerous AI systems, including those not yet announced. The AI is one of these initiatives, and following the start of asset management using its own funds in 2026, the company aims for commercialization in 2027.

The AI targets financial products that circulate borderless (such as Bitcoin and foreign exchange), and the service provision will target countries worldwide.
