Open Beta Testing for New Football Title developed by KLab and Electronic Arts to be held in Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia

Development underway with the official licenses of famous players, leagues, and more from around the world

Tokyo, Japan - May 11, 2023 - KLab Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Hidekatsu Morita, hereinafter referred to as "KLab") announced the start of open beta testing on Android for the new football title jointly developed with Electronic Arts Inc. (Head office: Redwood City, CA, United States, CEO: Andrew Wilson, hereinafter referred to as "EA"). Testing will begin from Thursday, May 25, 2023 in Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia.

KLab's development and operation know-how gained from past football simulation games has been combined with EA's IP and world-class marketing skills. In taking advantage of this combination, both companies are developing this project with the intention of creating a huge hit within the global mobile online-gaming market.

Relationship Between EA and the World of Football

EA is supported by a majority of gamers and football fans with their production of world-famous football titles such as the "FIFA" series that was certified as the "Best Selling Sports Video Game Series" by the Guinness World Records in 2018.

EA is also in possession of licensing agreements with more than 300+ license partners across global football giving access to famous players, leagues, teams, stadiums, and more from around the world. In regards to the title currently under development, users will be able to create teams for PvP (Player versus Player) using players belonging to this licensing ecosystem.

Know-How Gained from the Hit "Captain Tsubasa" IP

The hit title "Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team" that reached 45 million downloads worldwide is a high-level strategy, head-to-head football simulation game that KLab independently developed. KLab is utilizing the know-how gained on development and operation to assist in the development of the new game.

Through maximizing on the assets provided from both companies, users can rest assured in holding high expectations for the new title.

Follow-ups regarding any progress in development, the official game title, and promotions relating to the release of the game will be announced proceeding discussion with EA.
