Special Event Report: "Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team" Dream Championship Hong Kong Qualifier

Tokyo, Japan - August 9, 2019 - KLab Inc., a leader in online mobile games, announced that the winner of the Hong Kong Qualifier of the Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team Dream Championship 2019, held Sunday, August 4 at Hong Kong CGA eSports Stadium, is a player who goes by the handle 整齊個齊「蝦兵蟹將」.
As with all the previous offline qualifiers, 16 players competed for one winning title. Players were matched against one another and used the Online Match function inside the game to play a series of Friendly Matches according to professional rules. At the end of it, one player was left standing and 整齊個齊「蝦兵蟹將」 was crowned the champion of the Hong Kong Qualifier.

Winner 整齊個齊「蝦兵蟹將」 has snagged a spot at the Dream Championship 2019 finals, to be held on Saturday, September 14 in Tokyo.
Hong Kong Qualifier Event Report
At the Hong Kong Qualifier, players of Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team from not just Hong Kong but also from neighboring countries like Singapore gathered en masse. Fans had applied in advance for spectator seats via a lottery, but there were also a coveted amount of seats for those who came and lined up hoping to get in. The atmosphere was thick with enthusiasm and fervor for Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team with some of the most passionate fans in the region all together in one place.

The venue for the qualifier was the Hong Kong CGA eSports Stadium, which is an e-sports stadium but also a place where VR equipment and game-related accessories are sold. Naturally, it's a popular spot for local gamers.
For the day, the venue was decked out in eye-catching Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team decorations and branding.

Hong Kong Qualifier Crowns Player 整齊個齊「蝦兵蟹將」 Champion

Once the competition got underway, the 16 players faced off against each other. With Cantonese commentator Louis and MC Kingsley, the entire audience was united as they cheered for each goal and special move.

After a series of high-level matches filled with penalty shootouts, for the final match it was a player by the name of ?足球好快樂 facing off against 整齊個齊「蝦兵蟹將」. The first half of the match ended at 0-0 and in the second half, amid increasing tensions, each player was able to score one goal. The match went into a penalty shootout, and in the end 整齊個齊「蝦兵蟹將」 won.

Offline Fan Meeting Brings Players and KLab Together
After the qualifier wrapped up, the players joined in for an offline fan meeting. Owing to the particularly intense enthusiasm of the Hong Kong fans compared to the fans in all the other areas Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team is available, an offline fan meeting was held after the Hong Kong Qualifier.
At the fan meeting, the KLab Sound Team gave a special performance, players could face off against dev team members in a special challenge event onstage, and there was a talk show in which the producer of the game answered questions from players. The event truly brought the players and KLab closer together.

Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team Dream Championship 2019
This first-ever worldwide Dream Championship tournament will decide the top player of Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team in the entire world. Offline qualifiers have been held in four major cities worldwide, and online qualifiers are being held inside the game. All 16 finalists chosen both online and offline will receive trips to Japan to compete in the September 14 finals in Tokyo.
