“Love Live! School Idol Festival” Celebrates 30 Million Players Worldwide with Global Event

Tokyo, Japan – October 14, 2016 – KLab Inc., a leader in online mobile games, announced that Love Live! School Idol Festival, its hit game co-developed with Bushiroad Inc., reached a new record of 30 million players worldwide on September 10 of this year. A series of special events will be held in the global version of the game during mid-October to celebrate this landmark achievement.

Nine Days of Celebratory Login Bonuses

Players that log in to the game from Saturday, October 15 to Sunday, October 23 (UTC) will receive a generous helping of login bonuses that include Love Gems, Scouting Tickets, and other special items.

30 Million Players Worldwide Celebration Packages

A series of exclusive packages filled with must-have items have been added to the game to celebrate the monumental achievement of 30 million players worldwide. The packages come in two varieties—one featuring the members of μ's, and the other Aqours.

Round 4

Get a Very Special Club Member as a Login Bonus

The winning illustration for the μ's Fan Meeting Tour 2015 - Love Live! in Your Town! contest held in Japan from May 30 to August 9, 2015 was a stunning illustration featuring Nico Yazawa. A special member bearing this illustration will be given out as a login bonus. Distribution dates will be announced at a later date.

Round 5

New Ranking System for Events

In addition to the traditional cumulative point ranking system, a new form of score keeping will be added to the ranking system for events. Festival events will feature a new score ranking, and Score Match events will feature a special ranking. These events will be backed by some fabulous prizes.

No new ranking system will be added to Token Collection Events. However, rewards for Score Rankings will be revamped, and the rewards that have been distributed up until now will be included in the overall cumulative points ranking system. Exact release dates will be announced at a later date.

Round 6

First-Ever Aqours Collaboration Single Announced!

The first ever Aqours song created in collaboration with Love Live! School Idol Festival will be released on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 (UTC+9). This Christmas-themed single has been much-anticipated by fans of the series for some time now. As a special treat, an exclusive side-story will be included in the recording.

The single will also be added to the game as a special time-limited song. The exact availability period will be announced at a later date.

About the Love Live! Sunshine!! Project

Love Live! Sunshine!! is a brand new cross-media project based on the concept, "a story that makes our dreams come true." The school idol group “Aqours” (pronounced as “aqua”) formed in Uchiura, Numazu-city, Shizuoka Prefecture is spread among different types of media including CD releases with animation trailer video in DVD & Blu-ray, events, magazines, and smart phone applications.

The project started in April 2015 in DENGEKI G's Magazine. The first single, Kimino Kokorowa Kagayaiterukai?, was released in October of the same year, followed by the second single Koini Naritai AQUARIUM on April 27, 2016. The unit single CDs were released one by one starting from May 2016. The TV anime series started airing in Japan in July 2016.
