KLab’s “Love Live! School Idol Festival” Reaches 10 Million Players Worldwide

Tokyo, Japan ‐ December 15, 2014 - KLab Inc., a leader in online mobile games, announced today that Love Live! School Idol Festival, its hit game co-developed with Bushiroad Inc., reached a new record of 10 million players worldwide on December 8, 2014. A series of in-game events will be held to commemorate this achievement.

10 Million Players Worldwide Celebration Extravaganza
Round One - Special Login Bonuses
For seven days starting Tuesday, December 16, all players will receive free items such as Love Gems and Scouting Tickets as a special login bonus. The same event is planned for the English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean versions of the game in the near future.
Round Two - Worldwide Voting Event - “Come Fly With Me” Travel Partner Competition
Players will be given the chance to vote for one member of μ’s to go on a vacation with. The character with the most votes will have their popularity immortalized in a situation-based UR Card. The event is open to players around the world, giving Love Live! players everywhere a chance to vote for their favorite travel companion.

Round Three - All-Japan Love Live! School Idol Festival Game Tournament and Celebration Event 2016
KLab has announced the first ever real-life event featuring Love Live! School Idol Festival. Designed to immerse players in the world of Love Live!, this new event gives players a chance to show off their rhythm pounding prowess in front of other competitors. Further updates including event dates and locations will be announced on the game’s official website in the near future.
Deck the Halls with the New Limited Edition UR Card Featuring Maki Nishinoki

Players who log in to the game for a total of five days during the period starting at 12 am on Tuesday, December 16 to midnight on Thursday, January 15 (UTC+9), will receive their very own UR Idolized Card starring Maki Nishikino holding a Christmas-themed teddy bear. The card was created in response to the Christmas present in-game voting event, in which users selected Maki to receive a very special gift.
* Special offer limited to one card per player.
This event presents an excellent opportunity for players to acquire one of the rarest cards in the game. Not to mention, the illustration itself is pretty darn cute.
Upcoming Love Live! Holiday Season Promotions
A flurry of promotions have been planned all across Japan for the December holiday season. The members of μ’s will be out and about celebrating their official game’s 10 Million Players Worldwide milestone with a healthy dose of holiday cheer.

About Love Live!

Love Live! is a cross-media project based on the concept, “a story in which we make our dreams come true.” A youth drama that follows nine high school girls who form an idol group called “μ’s” (pronounced “Muse”) in an attempt to save their school, the group featured in the story has been adapted for various forms of media, including animated music videos (available on DVD and Blu-ray), internet radio programs, live events, magazines, and trading card games.
The first season of the Love Love! anime aired from January to March 2013. The second season aired from April to June 2014, and both series have received positive reviews. The real-life cast of μ's is scheduled to perform solo at Saitama Super Arena on January 31 and February 1, 2015.
