KLab’s “Love Live! School Idol Festival” Reaches 5 Million Players

Tokyo, Japan - October 8, 2014 - KLab Inc., a leader in online mobile games, announced today that Love Live! School Idol Festival, its hit rhythm game co-developed with Bushiroad Inc., reached a new record of 5 million players on October 5, 2014. This achievement follows on the heels of the 4 million players milestone achieved less than two months ago. A series of events will be held to commemorate the new record.
5 Million Players Celebration Extravaganza
Round One
For seven days starting on Thursday, October 16, all players will receive one free Love Gem as a special login bonus. Players can earn up to seven Love Gems simply by logging in every day.
Round Two
Round Two features a Christmas present-themed voting event! With Christmas just two months away, KLab is asking Love Live! players everywhere to think of Christmas presents that will surprise and delight the members of μ’s.
Players will be asked to vote for what kind of present to give to their favorite character. The μ’s member with the most votes will be made into an original UR Card, featuring an illustration of them receiving their Christmas surprise. Players will also be able to view reactions from other members in a special Christmas-themed Side Story. When voting, players are encouraged to imagine how their favorite member of μ’s will react when receiving their present.
Voting Period: Wednesday, October 15 to Friday, October 31
Results Announced: Saturday, November 15
The special UR Card for this event will be distributed to users as a login bonus during the next in-game event. Further information will be posted inside the game at a later date.

Nine new Rare Cards featuring costumes from Yume no Tobira will be added to both Regular and Honor Student Scouting.

The nine new Rare Cards featuring costumes from Korekara no Someday featured in the third round of the 4 Million Players Celebration Extravaganza will be added to the game at 4 pm on Wednesday, October 15 (UTC+9). The Korekara no Someday Rare Cards will be available via Regular and Honor Student Scouting.
About Love Live!
Love Live! is a cross-media project based on the concept, “a story in which we make our dreams come true.” A youth drama that follows nine high school girls who form an idol group called “μ’s” (pronounced “Muse”) in an attempt to save their school, the group featured in the story has been adapted for various forms of media, including animated music videos (available on DVD and Blu-ray), internet radio programs, live events, magazines, and trading card games.
The first season of the Love Love! anime aired from January to March 2013. The second season aired from April to June 2014, and both series have received positive reviews. The real-life cast of μ's is scheduled to perform solo at Saitama Super Arena on January 31 and February 1, 2015.
