KLab Launches “Kaburin! Ball” for New Facebook Service “Instant Games”

(TSE1: 3656)

Tokyo, Japan – December 16, 2016 – KLab Inc., a leader in online mobile games, announced the launch of Kaburin! Ball, an original title developed by KLab for Instant Games. A new gaming service from Facebook, Instant Games allows users around the world to play games on Facebook News Feed and Messenger. Kaburin! Ball is now available for Instant Games users to play worldwide.

Kaburin! Ball

KLab has partnered with Facebook in the past to bring engaging new ideas to life. The new title released on December 15 for Instant Games, a new service from Facebook currently available in 30 countries around the globe, is a continuation of these efforts. An additional game called Kaburin! Dodge that stars the same characters is slated for release in the near future.

Both Kaburin! Ball and Kaburin! Dodge feature adorable characters known as “Kaburin!” These hatted creatures also starred in an earlier game released by KLab in 2014.

Katsuaki Futsuki, KLab’s Project Leader stated, “It is a privilege to officially be a part of Facebook’s global service Instant Games with this release. Kaburin! Ball centers on intuitive balance mechanics that required quite a bit of work to get just right, but in the end, I think we were able to create an innovative UI that offers a truly immersive experience. Developing the game itself presented many hurdles and challenges, but I am very happy to say that we are the first developer in Japan to release an original game (and not a remake) for Facebook’s Instant Games. No downloads are required, making it easy to just pick up and play.”

About Kaburin! Ball

Kaburin! Ball is a balance-action game that takes advantage of smartphones’ gyro-sensor capabilities to deliver a fun and intuitive gaming experience. Players tilt their phone from side to side to keep Kaburin, the hero of the game, from falling off an endless bridge, all while avoiding obstacles and picking up coins along the way to earn extra points and boost their high score.

The game’s focus on intuitive balance mechanics creates an engaging in-game experience that absorbs the player into the quirky world of Kaburin! Ball. Players are able to share their high scores with friends via Messenger, adding a competitive element, and deeper level of fun, to the game.

About Kaburin! Dodge (Coming Soon)

A homage to arcade games of yesteryear, Kaburin! Dodge is a casual action game that challenges players to keep their Kaburin character from getting burnt to a crisp by fireballs that perpetually fall from the sky. The fire raining from above increases in intensity as players time their taps to help Kaburin avoid becoming a crispy critter for as long as possible.

Players can also share scores with Messenger friends to determine who is the most artful dodger of them all.
