“Classic Rock Awards 2016” Fan Voting Starts Today for Four Award Categories
Tokyo, Japan – August 22, 2016 – KLab Entertainment Inc., a subsidiary of KLab Inc., announced today that voting has officially started for four fan-chosen award categories for the Classic Rock Awards 2016 + Live Performance. This year’s event, sponsored by KLab Entertainment and TeamRock, is the first ever in the series to be held in Japan.
This year’s event includes plans for a total of 13 award categories celebrating artists and the music they have created over the past year. All nominees are selected by the official Classic Rock Awards nomination committee. Of these categories, a select few are turned over to the public, allowing fans to choose this year’s winners. This year’s fan-chosen categories feature the biggest awards of the night. Band of the Year goes to the group that made the biggest waves in the world of rock over the last year. Album of the Year is awarded to the rock musicians who left the most memorable impact on the rock scene in recorded format. Best New Band is given to the band that did the most to breathe new life into the rock and roll sphere, while Reissue of the Year goes to the best classic rock album re-released in the past year.
The voting period will end on Wednesday, September 28 (UTC+9). The results of the fan-chosen award categories will be announced on Friday, November 11 at the Classic Rock Awards ceremony in Tokyo, Japan.
